In this course, students will build on their existing language skills and expand their business vocabulary. They will learn to communicate effectively in a range of professional situations, such as negotiations, meetings, and presentations. Students will also practice writing clear and concise business documents, such as emails, memos, reports, and proposals.
The course will cover advanced grammar and usage, including complex sentence structures, advanced verb tenses, and commonly misused words. Students will also learn to use idioms and phrasal verbs commonly used in a business context. The course will focus on developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
In addition to language skills, the course will cover cross-cultural communication and the cultural differences that affect communication in a business context. Students will learn how to adapt their communication style to different cultural contexts and be introduced to different cultures’ business customs and practices.
Throughout the course, students will engage in role-playing, group discussions, and presentations to practice their language skills in a business context. They will receive regular feedback from their instructor and peers to help them improve their language skills and communication skills effectively in a professional setting.
